I am sure someone has posted something similar to this, but I just cannot seem to find the thread. I have been looking at the G21SF for quite sometime, but when I spoke to a local shooter at the range, he stated that it would not be available in CA for reasons he did not know. I was wondering if anyone can enlighten me in this subject, as I am interested ina .45, and w/ my small/medium hands I would like to look into this (I am leaning towards a SA TRP). But if I could cut the price in half and get the reliability features then I would like to consider a G21SF. |
It's not listed in the Roster of Handguns Certified for Sale and it's not on Glock's web site. Apparently, the 21SF is still "too new" to be shown on either web site, but for different reasons. ![]() Unless you know someone that's moving into CA and already owns a 21SF AND is willing to do a private party transfer to you, you'll have to wait until "safety tests" are done to get it on that damn roster. I have no idea if Glock plans to get the 21SF certified for sale in CA. |
The 21SF WILL NOT be CA certified, or added to the roster. It lacks both the loaded chamber indicator and Magazine disconnect that are requred for submission for the CA approved handgun roster as of 01/01/2007. |
You might consider going with the XD45 instead, great shooter. |

I read some SHOT Show 2007 articles saying Glock was able to submit the 21SF right before the 1/1/2007 deadline so it will be CA legal. The future Navy version that includes a safety was not ready and was not submitted so it will not be CA legal. I could be wrong, but that is what I remember. |
