Bishop Gun Club goes out to 500yds. The old range off Townsend-Winona Rd in Flagstaff has a 1000yrd |
Seeley, in the Imperial Valley goes out to 800 yards. They have a long range match the 4th Sunday of the month, although this month (May) I don't think they are going to have it. They also don't have matches during the hot summer months. At the Marine base in North San Diego County you can shoot in matches. I've shoot at 600 yards at Wilcox range there. There is also an Indian reservation that has a 900 yard range. Haven't been there, but Precision Arms in Escondido has info on it. |
I think the Lyttle Creek Gun Club range goes out to 600 yards. I think the public range is 100 yards but the Club range is either 500 or 600 yards. Burbank Rifle & Revolver Club is in Castaic (top of the grapevine). It has fully functional pits as far as 600 yards and has targets at 1000 yards and gongs as far as 1200 yards. It is a private Club but they are actively seeking responsible, upstanding new members. Of course, you an always go as a guest for a day, too. |
That would be the West End Gun Club, that goes out to 600 yds. We will be shooting across the course this Sunday, 5/21/06, come out and shoot or watch, it's all good! http://www.wegc.org |

Precisely, the West End Gun Club, well, at least I got close and prompted your correct reply. The other long distance range is in Cuyama. I have not been there yet but I will go someday. The shooters there are some of the best in teh world. I want to go and learn. Oh yeah, and have some fun shooting, too. |
