I have a pre-89 Cali HK94 that I'm trying to sell.

One possible buyer is in San Jose.

I just tried reading the legal section here, but got so tired of nashing my teeth at the nonsense you guys go through that I had to stop.

Is there any exception for a 'California '94' to californians?

You're kidding ... right ??

A HK94 is banned by name in CA. If it says Heckler & Koch 94, it cannot be legally be imported unless your buyer has an assault weapon permit.

This type of confusion is exactly why the AW ban in California is a major problem.  Add to this the fact that stripped recievers _HAVE_NO_ evil features and it's an utter disaster.  I have a feeling we've opened pandora's box with the unlisted lowers.
