What county?
If it's in the bay area, don't count on it. LA? Good luck. Rural? Pretty good chance.

ETA: Even though Orange County is politically conservative, I always assumed that getting a CCW here would be next to impossible. Looks like I might have to look into that.

Keep in mind that that map is probably a couple of years old, at least. The status of any given county depends on who the Sheriff is. If you aren't in the Bay Area or LA, it cannot hurt to call the Sheriffs Department and ask them about their CCW policies.

I think there may be a grey area between the green and yellow. Ventura and Santa Barbara counties have a reputation for being relatively easy at the current time.
