Are you freaking kidding me? The Sante Fe River is rising fast north of Gainesville.  FHP started monitoring at 3pm today.  Goes much higher and they close I-75.

I was in Lake City today and 75 south along with I-10 east were parking lots.  This will not end well if they close it.

Damn....

FHP were sitting on the North bound on ramps in Alachua @ 5:30ish today ready to close them.

if the SanteFe is closed, I would think that the bridges on 41, 441, 47, 301, 241 would also be impacted.  That would entail a long detour for lots of South bound folks.  What a mess.

41 and 27 bridges in Alachua and Gilchrist are closed. They're saying the water may go above the 100 year flood level on the Santa Fe. If I75 bridge is closed, what a mess that will be.

The rivers have peaked and 75 is staying open.  We're through Gainesville and an hour out of Tampa with traffic moving 70+ and no major incidents.
