I frequent the area to fish quite regularly and always stay at the Captains Table Lodge in Everglades City. Additionally, I have used Capt. Jack's to take my nephews and wife out and there guides were fantastic.
I'm not sure which part of the Everglades that you plan to stay in, but Everglades City and Chokoluskee (sp) are pretty cool places for the visitor. Might I also recommend the Rod and Reel Club in Everglades City for lodging, but more for a pretty decent meal and historic experience. BTW, bring plenty of high strength mosquito spray and stay inside from dusk on or risk being carried off by them

What part of Everglades are you planning to visit?
"Everglades" is very large area made up of several parts including the Everglades National Park but there are other parts that's "Everglades" too like Shark Valley or various other city/county/state parks stretching south from Lake Okeechobee down to the southern tip of Florida. |
