Howdy,

I recently moved to Arizona from Michigan and have an AZ driver's license and address. My AZ carry permit likely won't be processed in time for a wedding in Florida in February. My Michigan CPL is valid until 2017.

Will Florida recognize the current Michigan CPL (I still have my punched MI driver's license) or am I out of luck for concealed carrying?

Cheers.

i think the question is more of he has a michigan resident ccw, and an arizona resident id. would this be an issue. does that make sense? (some states have non resident ccw's, but his is not that. it is issued to a resident of michigan which he currently is not).

Technically, as you are no longer a resident of Michigan you cannot carry with a Michigan CWP in FL.

this would seem to be the correct answer, i have never seen this issue before (never even considered it) so i helped explain what i thought the question to be a little better, hoping some one else would chime in. i agree with your answer, and would think this would be the case in every state.

I thought the answer would be a "no", but it seldom hurts to ask. I got my prints taken today; I'll get the packet out in a day or two and hope for a quick turnaround time.

Thanks folks.
