and here we go, the news will make this the storm of the century. Until it turns direct East, then the news will report how it almost got us and how bad it would have been. Good, because right now she's aimed right at my forehead. ![]() You livein Orlando? All TS /canes head straight there ........LOL Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

this would be my first storm since moving back to florida. when i lived here in '04-'06 and i lived a little west of the intracostal and only evacuated once. given my new location, should i be considering evacuating for a cat 1? No clue where your at. But lets put this into perspective. If the hurricane winds project 100-150 miles from the eye. The eye make land fall say on the cape. Its TS winds /rain all the way into Tampa and hurricane winds /rain at least to south Orlando area. So....there really is no getting away just lessening the chance of injury or death ... Erika's gonna pass us all by for sure but: Might just be the time to get those shutters ready, and clear the stuff from around the outside of the house boys and gals. I'll be oiling locks and cleaning tracks all day. Guys with bolt ons might want to check their nuts. |

Quoted: I think I may have been one of only a few people that got excited to see this storm. This weekend should be good fun and Tuesday will be epic if I don't get blown away by the wind. https://scontent-mia1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpf1/t31.0-8/11952868_10153619718613035_6586109715687690076_o.jpg |

Erika broke up. Looks like it might be a TS again when it hits the straits. ETA: Nevermind, it's still a TS. I don't know why this was on the NOAA website. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a378/dragtillidie/hurricanerika_zpsa3dal30i.gif Got me too.
