| Hey gang! Headed to cedar key in 2 weeks. I want to take the surf rod. Any pointers on what fish may be biting and what they may be biting on? Thanks for taking your time to answer. |

Thats my back yard. Surf rod is too heavy. Bring a 12-17lb class spin rod, some waders with live shrimp. You will park at the shell mound ramp and wade creek mouths for reds and trout. Careful with walking, shuffle ur feet due to stingrays back there this time of yr.
