***Cross posted from Training Forum*** This was a great trip! I showed up never having shot past 300 yes (and not very good at that), and was hitting targets at 800 yds at the end of Day 1. My confidence level in myself and my platform has quadrupled. Instruction: B+ The classroom materials and instruction were top notch. All relevant subjects covered with excellent examples. It is obvious that the instructors are professionals and have extensive knowledge of the subject. They are friendly and always willing to help. The only knock I have is that we cram so much info into two days (both instruction and hands-on practice) that time for one-on-one to work on various issues is limited. They do their best with the time allotted, but this could really be a 3 day course. Hell, it could be a week, but the syllabus would be comfortable over 3 days. Range/Content: A+ This is the best range I have ever used. Multiple lanes out to a thousand, remote control movers, barricades, hostage setups, carbine areas, etc. You name it they have it. Well maintained and expertly (to my unseasoned eye) set up. We shot movers, we shot timed scenarios, we shot ranges out to 800, we shot kneeling, we shot sitting, we shot tiny plates, IPSC silhouettes, etc. You get the picture. There was a lot of shooting, and it was always interesting. Course Materials/SWAG: A You get a free t-shirt, sticker, patch, and a great data book. I already had a data book, but this one will be handy as a reference, as it contains their teaching materials (Power Point) as well. I ended up using it to record dope and then transcribing later to my actual data book. What I Wish I Brought: Shooting Mat Real Sling (used a hunting one) Overall, a great learning and shooting experience. I highly recommend. My confidence went from nil to middling. I am totally satisfied.
