I paid every damn payment.

We built a new home in 2007. With a contract on our previous home we were going to double our money....but that contract fell through. As the market slid into oblivion, we rented it out. Losing a couple of hundred dollars a month, we figured we made most of it up with the tax write off. When our renter of 4 years moved out in July, we decided to list it. We will close on Thursday. With a reasonable profit.

We could have walked away, we could have short sold it. Many people did.

My dad didn't raise no welcher, and am proud to say that I didn't become part of the "problem".

Good on you. I work with a couple that make 200k together minimum. They

bought a very nice house for over 400k a few years ago and have parties and

love to show it off.

I found out a while back that they have not made a payment for over 2 years

and they bought a condo on a SE FL beach. They are planning to file bankruptcy

and will give up the house just in time to retire to their condo.

I can't even look them in the eye any more. It sickens me.
