I'm down with rain, as long as it doesn't cause the ground underneath my house to open up! We need the water so the lakes come back up.

Florida is a swamp and it's about damn time we started acting like it. Coming home on leave to drought conditions sucked ass and it's nice to see that my return has restored the order of things.

Only reason I welcome it is because it keeps my water bill down not having to run my sprinklers

Our neighbors mentioned that they dumped their 5" rain gauge three time yesterday. Didn't always get to it before overflow, either. Add it all up, we got almost twenty inches at my house. Just on the 4th. Of course, we had already had 6 or so from the day(s) before.

We have been dry today in Lakeland. Mowed the back yard yesterday and

that was an ordeal for sure since it had not been mowed in two weeks.

I Hope the lakes and Aquifer have caught up some.

We got it pretty good here in Manatee Co over the past few days but, with that low moving off to the west, it's sure to dry out rapidly.

Scott Lake?

I think that Lake is still leaking into the Aquifer. It is still about 15 feet below where it

was when it drained years ago.
