I've never shot there and wondering what those you have think about it.
I was also confused on how it works. How often can members shoot? Seemed by the calendar times were very restricted which doesn't bode well for a busy person like me. But I may be misunderstanding it. Am I to assume that days marked "Member Shoot" are the only days you can shoot? Sorry, I know that may seem like a stupid question but I wasn't sure as I am not even sure what the membership means. I did call once but the person who answered seemed to be having a rough day so I kept it short. Any help is appreciated. |

Oh Lawd! Here we go again.
Cliff notes. Old man Pop's had a space in the open people would shoot at old school. Pop's meets his maker and his "girlfriend" takes over. Several people will come along and give you an opinion on her. All kinds of drama Place continues to allow shooting in the open. Lots of drama Place gets fixed up and organized. Lots more drama Some people with big money get involved trying to organize the OP's. A second berm is added as a private training area. Of course more drama Currently Southwest Ranches has a huge boner to close the place down. Pop's "member" cost skyrocketed "my opinion", a risk to commit to when the city can one day say no more shooting. Sucks for me because it's 5 minutes away. Several private training groups rent the place out. Member shoot days is for members who have paid the yearly fee ($500) last time I checked. Unfortunately the reliability of it being open on time reflects its ownership. |

I used to shoot at Pop's a LONG time ago... Then, the owner lost what was left of her mind. |

I only come down to visit occasionally, but isn't there a range on Stirling, west of 95? I can hear the shooting from the relatives house ( or used to last time I was there). ![]() West of US27 There is one west of 95 also. http://www.hrpclub.info/ |

I live 5 minutes from Pop's place.
Back when Pop Dean was alive I used to shoot there once a week to chat with him and shoot with friends. After Pop passed away I continued to go for about a year or so but the new owner scares me so I stopped going and so did all my friends. One day that place is going to be on the news and it won't be for anything good. |
