Just talked to Chas and he is officially out of basic as a grad and they even let him sleep in until 7... 5:07
He is headed up to VA for further training. That is all. |

Chas indicated that he will likely not be able to earn any leave until Christmas. He seems to have burned his time with the down time associated with his poison ivy exposure and his last trip to run elbow with us civilian types.
I suggest we put together a "care" package of SWFL. We had previously discussed some serious offerings and a few off color inclusions from bachelorette parties gone wrong. Some ideas are notes of encouragement, samples of beach sand, sea shells, photographs of manatees and frolicking alligators eating the dogs of bluehairs with walkers. An ant farm of fire-ants, our spent brass rejected for case bulges, a temperature log of dates in January and February vs Oklahoma and Virginia, or as simple as a photo of your alarm clock set for 9am. It is the type of package that will help him deal with the monotony of army life and draw strength from the reminder of the friends and family he has supporting him through our tax dollars, our moral support, and belief that he will always be our Chas, the brass-jew. |

Give me an address, and a package will be forthcoming. |
