| I've been waiting since before the holidays. Is it on for this weekend? |

Quoted:
Wanted to come out for the first time this month but unable to commit. See y'all next month. Good luck. I was wondering if you'd ever try to make it out there...I'll make sure to hoard me ammo stash so I came make it next month also.. I haven't shot since the end of Nov and it's very true that shooting is a perishable skill after how I performed today... |

I'll fill you guys in on that when we finally meet. I wasn't ready to run and gun with quite yet either and had some other things come up for Sunday. |

Anybody know if the scores are posted anywhere yet? I want to see how crappy I did. I agree with previous posts: these are indeed perishable skills. It's been nearly a year since I've been out and I noticed, mentally, I just wasn't as focused or 'in the zone' as I have been in the past.
Thanks again to Martin and Neil and some of the rest of the guys that volunteer their time and effort into keeping this going. The efforts of all you guys are appreciated. |

Quoted: Thanks! It was fun, FDCC is definitely my favorite competition in the area. I'm running a Dan Wesson Guardian 1911 in 9mm right now. Used to use the .45, but it was a bit slower and I didn't shoot it quite as well.Quoted: The scores are online now: http://www.defensivecarbineclub.com/matchresults.aspx Here's my video if anyone is interested: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sp-DtN4Ph5Q Good shootin Tex. There are definitely quite a few that run 1911's during the match..I even want to say that it's just about 50/50 between those and the polymer's (Glock/M&P's/etc).. |
