So my renters insurance only covers up to $2k in firearms loss.  Does anyone use a supplemental insurance for their firearms?

I use USAA.  I insure scopes, handguns, rifles and NFA goodies.  Costs about $150 a year I believe.

what info did you have to divulge to them to get the insurance?
did you have to have appraisals on each firearm?

I believe that you just tell them the number of guns and the total value...you have to have a USAA homeowners or renters policy to get a VPP policy with them.
