I have a place in Clearwater sitting vacant for now, I have not done any pest control yet.
I was going to call McCall pest control in Tampa to to spray/bait/place claymores or whatever they do.
Any opinions on McCall or other reccomendations would be welcome.
Are termites that big a deal there?  I don't think they can handle our winters, so mebbe they all moved to FL..

Termites are big business here in FL. I can't make a recommedation for a company to use. (sorry)

Several types, dry wood, sub-terrian and a new type called formosa termites. I have had the 1st 2. A chemical barrier or bait system will be the treatment for sub-terrian, tenting / fumagation of the structure is the treatment dry wood. You cannot use 1 treatment for both.

Someone will have to inspect the structure for the nasty critters and they will offer you treatments and preventative measures as needed.

Yes, termites are a real nasty expensive problem in florida. It not a matter of if, it's when.

Thanks for the input, I better not put this off.
Only reason I got this place was because your housing mkt. was having a half-off sale
That, and I love fishing in FL.
