The state says I might own more taxes on my car.
*Note I did pay all taxes owed on the car I got a letter saying I paid less then 80% of the average loan amount. Me: No shit it was a good deal. The letter says I have 30 days to: Write a letter describing the condition on the car Fill out the back of this letter. to fill out a DR-99a, Where the Fuck do I get that?!?!!? Have every fucking this notarized. Or it will go over to collections. Really? I have to prove I do not owe money. Damn you Florida I am off to CL to find a used Bulldozer. |

Form dr 99a here http://dor.myflorida.com/dor/forms/2009/dr99a.pdf Hopefully you know the folks you bought the vehicle from, or at least you can still find them. Send it in and you'll never here from the DMV again. My buddy Jim did it once, or twice. |

This happened to a friend of mine who was in a jam and accepted a station wagon from a church member for about 1/3 of what it was worth. Their deal was the car needed a tranny and another church member was taking care of that on the side so they got away with the whole thing by saying the car needed extensive repairs (true) and was only worth the 1/3 of book that my buddy was being charged. Can you swing something like this? |

Sent in what they asked for and never heard another word back from the state. |

I can get him to sign it but him signing this paper and it getting back in 30 days Ain't going to happen. |

The funny thing is this only the 3nd time I did not cheat. I shorted them on 2 trucks, 3 cars, 3 boats, and had a few trailers "shared" one tag for a few years. |

Quoted: Don't quit so easy. Ask to speak to a supervisor. Call and explain, maybe there is a provision for an extension. Does your "buddy'' happen to have left a power of attorney so that things like this can be handled? I will fill out the 4 papers and go to the bank and get it notarized. I am not worried. I am unhappy that I have to prove I am right, I am unhappy they did not include all the forms I need, I am unhappy the state is closed today, I am unhappy the letter does not explain where to send the the form, I am unhappy I have to spend .44 cents to mail the letter. |

If it is your buddy, he just needs to sign the form. |
