He screwed over a friend of mine on a class 3 deal and the only time I ever dealt with him he made me feel like I just really needed to slap the shit out of him.
But then again I feel that way most of the time about a lot of people I deal with. It's just one of those days!!! |

Quoted: Quoted: He was a jackass. I spent alot of money at his shop and yet he treated me like a nuisance. Neva was pretty friendly and helped sort out the clusterfk Jon created with my Form 4. This is my same exact experience as well. I kinda got the impression he was a jackass to....everyone spoke so highly of him, I figured it was just me. ![]() |

Not just you. When someone is the head or face of a popular vendor and site supporter here, people often politely say that said person is "of strong opinion", or "is to serious to take BS lightly", etc... The momentum of popular opinion tends to roll over the nay-sayers and give great benefit of doubt to the vendor. However, when the tide turns, it often rolls out pretty far, exposing an aweful lot of stuff left previously hidden. I knew Jon personally, to some extent. He attended a few FDCC shows, and we were sort of continuously exposed to one another at SHOT show some years back. I suppose we bonded over the KAC tour. Prior to that, he used to irritate me quite a bit. I thought he was pushy and arrogant, and he still was at SHOT, but it's remarkable how quickly you can build up a tolerance for someone, much like antibiotic resistant bacteria. I decided he was a little 'rough around the edges'. That's what polite people say when someone is an a-hole, but likable enough in limited quantity. However, the tide rolled back, as it always does, and what was exposed reflected poorly on him as a person and a business owner. Not the first time it's happened, and sadly not the last. Incidentally, I feel the same way as you described about another Florida vendor who is enjoying a great deal of popularity at current. Getting my signal through the noise has not been very effective, so I am just waiting for the tides to change. Sorry for the ramble. Wife and I gave birth to a little vampire, who only comes alive at night when Daddy wants to sleep. |

Interesting to hear this and if it's who I think it is I had a problem with their "service" that was aired here on ARFCOM. Needless to say I doubt I'll be doing any biz with them in the present or future. |

Are we talking "dealer" like a gun shop, or "dealer" like a gun/parts supplier? I've noticed a lot of "WOW, they're the tits! -talk" recently about the latter, and don't want to get stuck with a prick-outfit. I think |

| I guess I have not been around lately but I missed what happened to Jon and Anvil Arms. Could someone bring me up to speed on what occurred? I had a few business dealings with Jon a few years ago and although a little abrasive he was accommodating in reference to my particular transactions. |
