Ok, I will seek help from my FL folk. I asked this in the AR specific forum but nobody has helped with a reply.
I 'm wanting to build an AR for target, plinking and some varmint out to 250 yds. The BCM upper is a bit cheaper and might be a more practical for me. However I know the barrels with FF tubes on a varmint upper may be more accurate. I think? Talk me into one or the other fellas! What about the twist rate on the BCM? Is that going to be ok for what I'm looking to do? Would one upper or the other be advantageous over the other? Thanks in advance for any help you can give. Mike |

This is from my Rock River 24" @ 300 Ever use 5.56 - any issues? The RRA is chambered in .223 wylde which the website says is fine for either .223 or 5.56 but that chambering has been what has stopped me from picking one up. I know that setups like this need better quality ammunition to really shine but I have a lot of decent 5.56 sitting around and I hate to have an AR that couldn't shoot it safely. I've got an extra lower sitting around and was considering putting together something like this... Thanks! |
