| Anyone gone to one for a car? Where are they in FL? How do you get in? Can anyone just go and buy a pimpmobile? |

Miami-Dade County's is usually every other month. They always have a group that you can re-register and a group that are for scrap.
Some have been torched, folded, spindled, and/or mutilated. A few months ago they had a rear ended Prius that was turned inside out. The good cars look like this. The bad look like this.
Then there's the ones like this. |
| Check your local PD SOs web sites. We used to have one and some agencies contract the whole thing out to a vendor and have it done off site. FWC used to acution firearms to public in Tallahassee. Most firearms are traded for more firearms or gear this keeps the entire value inside the organization. The firearms have to go through a FFL so those generally don't get presented to the public. The money rasied doesn't get to stay with the PDs or SOs completely generally it's broken up and returned to the general fund. I got a half a pallet of duty gear for $20 and a $300 SLR for $5 the last time I went to one. If you find one it is a really neat experience and lots of fun. Just like EBAY only for real. I watched things go for more than new retail just because people were involved in bidding wars. |
