Well we will all be coming down to your wonderful state starting the 9th.
What better then a family road trip (and I do mean that!) My question is if anyone knows if there is any construction still going on at Sea World... We love Disney and are staying on the grounds, but always extend by a day or two to see Sea World... Now if only Disney would add a gun shop/range on their grounds..... Thanks! |
| I am not sure about any construction, but if it were me, I would go to another park, unless you have your heart set on this one. I took the family last year to Sea World and will never go there again. There was not enough snack/drink kiosks, no cold drinks available unless you went into the restaurants, rides were constantly being shut down through out the day and the staff was very SLOW. Not as many attractions as I remember them being in my youth, although they were good. We went in the summer as well and my kids shared the same attitude my wife and I did. I hate to talk bad about it, but I would go to Universal or Busch Gardens instead. I have also heard a couple nice things about Cypress Gardens and they are becoming more mainstream by adding rides and a water park, although I have never been myself but have been contemplating it. Just my 2 cents and have a nice trip. |

have not been to sea world in years myself. There is a megahuge bass pro shop not too far from seaworld FYI. Directions |
| I was just at SeaWorld on Father's Day. There is a small bit of construction at the exit w/ I-4 but nothing was shut down nor lanes closed so no real delay. I hadn't been to SeaWorld in ages but everything was up and running the day I went. Manta is a great new ride and a whole new "feeling" that I've never had on a coaster. This is coming from someone who really likes coasters and has been to both Busch Gardens (Tampa and Williamsburg) along with 3 Six Flags (San Antonio, Houston, Dallas). |

Disney is not gun friendly....they were/still are against letting workers keep guns in their own cars......a gun range/shop would be a never for them. |

Seaworld just finished Manta, which is a great B&M ride. They opened their new waterpark last year - Aquatica. And of course they have Discovery Cove. No major construction that I'm aware of.
http://www.seaworld.com/orlando/default.aspx I'm partial to Busch Gardens myself. http://www.buschgardens.com/bgt2/ |

If you love coasters, hit Cedar Point in Ohio sometime. You will need at least two days to ride all the coasters. |
