| I just wanted to know if anyone knew the timetable on how long it's taking my CWL to come in the mail. I sent in all the forms in January 18. They cashed my $75 check on February 26. We are now almost at the end of April and I find myself waiting for the mailman like a little boy waiting for Santa. Last I heard it was three months but is that from the date they got my forms or the date they cashed my check? When can I expect my CWL to come in? Is there somewhere I can look to see what part of the process they're on? Thanks in advance. |

I supplied my own finger prints taken at the class, and the check I sent was for $117. I hope he is ok because I think the state fee is higher than $75, but I could be wrong. I sent mine in around Dec 21 and git it April 20, so 4 months. Natron You are wrong. The state fee is, as stated before, $75. The printed card fingerprint processing is $42, hence your $117. If you paid the ridiculous fee for electronic fingerprints you only need send $75. The bad part is that electronic submissions are still taking as long as card prints so there is no time savings at all. |
Okay guys, first thing first. I took the all-in-one class that included the electronic fingerprinting, therefore I only had to send in the $75 that was asked of me. This isn't such a big deal, that wasn't really a part of the question anyway. Second, I called the Department of Agriculture Licensing Department to see what was going on. They told me that they have received my application and it was received in late January. They are currently processing the early January applications, and I still have at least 3 weeks until mine gets processed. When I asked her about the 90 day timetable, she said that they are now going over the 90 days because of obvious reasons. Thanks anyway guys.

One of my cohorts here at work sent his in at the end of January. Right about this time of the month. He brought it by today to show that he got it yesterday. Took damn near 3 months to the day. That's around the time they're all taking right now. I got mine a year and a half ago and only waited about 6 weeks. That was then, this is now. I'm hearing all over that 3 months, give or take a week or two, is what they're running. You can rest assured you're gonna have your permit sitting in your mailbox within the next week or two.
I can perfectly well understand the lack of patience. Sometimes I have trouble ordering something online and waiting a week or so to get it. I hate waiting. I just mailed paperwork this morning on a Krinkov that I bought at the beginning of January. The Form 4 was sent off January 9th by the seller and the seller got approval just one week ago. Of course, I have to go through this all over again and wait ANOTHER 4 months for my tax stamp. The dealer let me look at my purchase and that Krinkov was BAD ASS! And I'm waiting 4 lousy months more. I'm empathetic for ya, brotta! |

3 months huh? Hmm I sent my paper work on Dec 8, '08 and have yet to hear anything at all.
I tried calling 850.245.5691 is that the right number? But I keep getting a busy signal. Any other number to call? ] Thanks, -Larry O M. . . Update. Just got threw it appears they really are so busy that the lines are sending busy signal, now I'm on hold ETA 45min, great fun. . . Update 2. Wait was 29min on the phone, my CWL was sent to the wrong address from what they said in Feb. So is took from Dec to Feb for the all the paper work to get done. Now they said it will be 3weeks before I get it resent to the correct address. . . |

I sent mine in on 3/19/09 and my check has not been cashed as of this morning. I sent mine in about a week before you and it just cashed today. Wish it was quicker, but at least now I know some progress has been made. It's my own fault for waiting so long to do it. Amazing what a scary ass government can motivate you to do. |

My fiancee mailed hers via registered mail receipt requested in mid December and her permit was issued on February 7th 2009.
Electronic prints payed for by credit card online. Other fee payed for with U.S. Postal Money Order. I don't know if any of that speeded up the process any but them not having to wait for the check to clear might have. |

When I spoke to the director of the division of licensing to check up on our renewals back in August of last year, we were told that the volume of applications had put them on a 4 to 6 month backlog in processing of applications. That was last year. On top of that, we had both sent our renewals in at the same time. My wife's money order was cashed, but mine was not. It took a call to the director to have them check their records to find my renewal package (sent in the same envelope as my wife's). They were processed and arrived within two weeks after emails and phone calls with the director.
Sometimes it pays to persevere. |
