Hey everyone,

I have heard from a few different people around town that there is a shooting range in the Olustee National Park. Is there any truth to this? I checked their website and could find no information on it. I didnt want to take a drive down there and be dissapionted. Any info or links would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

FWC has cleaned up the area around the range alot but I would make sure if you went out there you have a friend with you to watch your back. I have shot there quite a bit over the years but a few months ago I had a bad experience there with four guys showing up and checking out everything that was on the range then took ver a target that two young kids had just put up to shoot at. I would have been good to go except I had my wife and eight year old daughter with me to watch out for.

Thanks for the info. Im used to shooting @ gun gallery, bullseye, and gateway. I just really wanted to try something new. (also heard theres no rule on how many seconds you have to wait in between shots.) Is this range ever very crowded? Is there a certain day/time to advoid?

Most times I've gone there it was early in the morning.  A couple of times about 10:30 or 11.  Never crowded and other shooters were always very nice.  Maybe later in the day a different class of people show up, but I don't know about that.

As of last July there is a rule that says no more than one shot every 2 seconds.
