Hello! I was invited to come over to the Florida HTF and cause trouble so I just thought I'd say hi!

There's a s**t fest going on in the GA HTF between two instructors. One of them said, "well everyone is welcome in the Fla HTF" and so here I am. I'm a criminal defense lawyer (does no one here any good) and a Utah certified instructor (hence the little pistol which also does no one here any good) and I spend a lot of time in Valdosta (which does no one any good), but am originally from Titusville. |

I'm very leary of training, mainly because I've been through so much in the non-firearms scene. It always seems that they bait and switch you and more often then not the instructors know less then the students. The otherside of it a lot of classes jack up the price to be able to have live instruction wit han attorney who will answer questions... I'm not spending for that. |
Welcome! See, look at the warm Sunshine State reception you got. ![]() I highly recommend that folks on the fence about this give Bushido further consideration. Just because he isn't a household name doesn't mean much. Every "name" instructor had to start somewhere...some had to build up from nothing, and some were fortunate enough to arrive on the scene with name recognition already due to a distinguished military and/or contractor background. I think we, as students, are fortunate to have such a variety of very talented instructors out there. I intend to train with as many as reputable instructors as I can, because they all have something to offer. Not trying to be a kiss-ass, but I don't think Surefire would've imported Wade from S. Africa if he wasn't halfway decent. And price-wise, I think it's fair to say that his courses are a bargain (around $300). Do some research on Bushido Tactical. There are a number of posts and AARs on ARFCOM and other forums, and you'll find that the satisfied students far outweigh the the detractors. |
Welcome to the site. It's easy to know why you moved from Titusville- too much competition! Good to know there's an gun-friendly lawyer up Valdosta way... just in case I get into trouble on my hunt lease in Homerville. |
Oh come on... digital is the future, back to the 60's with you... Back I say! |

I'm all about the new stuff but you can't always trust them. I try to teach my guys how to do it the regular way before taking the short cut. Kind of like teaching someone how to use a caulculator but not knowing how to do math long hand. I also beleive there is more than one way to skin a cat. I'm only 30 but I got beat as a kid so I turned out alright |
Now here you go again dragging my old decrepit body into this. Ben, I thought it was you gaving away goodie bags of lotion, tissue and scented candles with each of your famous "Grip Jobs" BTW, Welcome to the FHTF DKing! |
LOL...that'll learn him. Cheap tools make the job harder. I learned my lesson about cheap shit recently with Harbor Freight. What you said also applies to the shit fests that training threads often turn into. Rather than keep an open mind and learn and research and THEN decide (or post), or even offer an opposing viewpoint CONSTRUCTIVELY, there's always a few who feel compelled to attack with something negative and baiting. When asked reasonably to explain their combative position, it's "nevermind," or they'll just disappear, or will get pissed off and argue it out because they either can't articulate their position in an intelligent manner, or are simply too dumb and stubborn to realize that they don't belong in a thread where folks are trying to have a reasonable discussion. |
Because your old decrepit body looks good in drag. Man, I haven't spent this much time on ARFCOM in years. |
Or they'll ignore you. |
I'm not spending for that.
