Just a thought, but how strange would it be if someone were to wear a flight suit out there?  I have a friend who wants to do so, but I was a bit leary on the idea for him?  So what do you all think?

as long as brings the plane with him...

What ever he chooses to train in should be fine... so long as it IS NOT a camo speedo....

Seriously, although you don't see them as often as before, flight suits are OK as they allow for movement and have plenty of pockets for storage.

FDCC shoots are for fun, so go have fun and forget what other think.

Thats a thought for a COF. Maybe we can get an airplane out there and simulate crashing and dashing out of enemy territory

FDCC Florida...

You guys should build a scenario shell of an aircraft out there on the range so you can run a day / night course engaging terrorist targets inside the plane...

Time & scored accordingly to FDCC rules...

Hostage friendly and terrorist targets...

FDCC SWAT terrorist take down...

Just idea for another scenario...

that would be a really good idea, by the way, is FDCC open for COF ideas?

Sure, COF ideas are solicited.

However (comma) please keep a few things in mind when designing your COF.

1.  Reset time between shooters (more important than you think).  The most time effective target to date has been the static ~5"x~10" steel plates.

2.  Keep the shooter moving downrange, and (generally) to the right.

3.  It's a bitch to find a balance between "interesting" for the guys that have been doing it for awhile and "acheivable" for the new guys.  Some folks like a lot of handling, some like a high round count, some just want to do something they haven't done a thousand times already.

4.  If you intend on having a sidearm transition, set your COF up so that it's doable w/o a sidearm.  (Sometimes we get out there and it looks like 90% of the shooters showed up that day w/o a sidearm).

5.  Check the weather before you put any prone required positions in your COF.  Sometimes our range is underwater.  (Insert "aquabump" reference here).

Anything else guys?

Can we train in Clown suits??  Sluggo can bring the balloons.

I guess it makes sense to train in different clothing scenerios to see what advantages or disadvantages you encounter while trying to fire in uniforms or special clothing...Never really thought about it before.

As far as what other people would think. It doesnt matter. We are all a fairly laid back group and they let me come dressed like a goober, so its all good.

Clown suit, now that is funny. Seeing as how the Gun Gallery crew were called ass clowns because of something I did at the last FDCC shoot. My drink for lunch today was labeled ass clown. It's my new nickname. I have always wanted a nickname. Someone please bring a clown suit out, I will put it on with pride.

To the OP. No one important cares what you ware to FDCC. I used to come from work and have a shirt and tie on. I found it to be realistic SHTF attire. I also used to wear a #24 Red Wings jersey (my boy). I was totally out of FDCC dress code. I took a lot of heat for my fashion choices. A flight suit will fit right in, no one will look twice.

Chuck I have a idea that kind of relates to the COF's. It will not take any more time, but will make it more challenging for those that want to be tested and still keep it simple enough for newcomers. We will talk the next time I see you in the shop.

I remember that movie. It was pretty wild watching him flip out and blow away L.A.

Any advice for the guys who are new to the FDCC courses.  I have only run a couple of them. To be honest I dont have an assult rifle and feel foolish enough trying to run those courses. I am a Newbie....I digress
