I knew there was some oil production in Florida and I'm not talking suntan oil. Another project got me to looking into it a bit further. Last year Florida produced over 2 Million barrels of oil. Since 1943, Florida has produced over 584 million barrels of oil. Over 1300 drilling permits have been issued though not all wells have been drilled and not all those drilled are producers. The majority of these are inland wells, not offshore wells. Wells have been drill in just about every Florida county.
