That sucks but wasn't unexpected.  I guess I'm going Romney for the primary, but full of reservation.

same here.  oh well...be interesting to see how many votes Fred gets even though he dropped out.   Fred would make a good VP....

I would have loved to see him win, but his late entry into the race for president made people think that he couldn't make up his mind about running (Not a good thing.)

I would have voted for him, but I didn't think he had a chance. I only hope that he runs next time.....

Yep, I saw that online today.  That really does suck.  He was the only one that I had no reservations about voting for.

What burns my ass is the daily onslaught on emails requesting more money for the campaign up till yesterday. Then nothing today. When I get home from a day of work in the hole, my wife tells me Fred quit.

Where was my fucking Thank You, and oh I quit email from the campaign. Nada.

I like Ron better (with the exception of his foreign policy), but was probably going to vote for Fred. Now I'm back to Ron. I will NOT vote for any socialist, which is what Romney is. McCain stabbed gun owners in the back more than once, but I MIGHT vote for a McCain/Tompson ticket.

As far as the primaries go I'm voting for Ron.

I don't recall Fred campaigning much.  During the debates it was, "Go back to sleep Fred".  He ran a half assed campaign, an insult to his supporters.  And I also have trouble voting for someone who makes believes he is someone else for a living. Loved him in Die Harder though.

Romney is a flipper and a closet democrat.  The only reason he is running republican is the dems are already full.  I could careless that he is a Mormon.  Have you seen the gun laws in MA?

Paul, is a little nutty and his views are just wrong on the war.  Plus he gets a lot of support from the neo-nazis which is wise to avoid and he has not said anything to seperate himself from it.  Apparently they are very supportive of him, not his fault but makes you wonder.  Plus his home district of Galveston, TX is a shit hole with prostitutes and drug deals going down on the corner of the Federal Court House.

Giuliani is a gun grabber and a cross dresser.  Would you want to live in NYC?  What does he believe in?

Almost forgot about Huck.  He looks like Kevin Spacey and is soft on crime.  I could careless that he is a Evangelical.

McCain brings unity and a strong hand against terrorist assholes, plus, won't take our guns away.  The man has been through more than most can ever have nightmares about.

Just my opinions.

While I have the utmost respect for McCain as a person, there's no way he'll get my vote.  He stabbed conservatives in the back more than once too often.  McCain Feingold, the gang of 14, opposing Bush's tax cuts, and his view on climate change to name a couple.  The only thing he's good on is the 2nd, and being ProLife (if that's important to you, myself not so much).

Mitt is the closest  to conservative of all the RINO's running.

Paul's out of the question.  While I agree with alot of his positions, the one's we disagree on are deal breakers.

There is no fucking way I could stomach a vote for McStain. It seems like everyone forgets that he tried his hardest to push that amnesty bullshit down our throats this summer. Has everyone forgotten this? I'll take my chances with Romney.

The deal with McCain that separates him from all the other candidates dems included, is the fact he wants to get things done.  He doesn't want to sit around and bullshit all day about how to fix something and criticize other peoples plans.  He goes to the opposition regardless of affiliation and tries to work out compromise.  The Immigration issue I was not for, but, Who else was trying to actually DO anything.  It's easy to spout all these "fixes" and never actually get legislation going.  He doesn't play politics, he lets you know his actual opinion and he sticks to it.  Name any of these other bozos that do that.  I rather have a man willing to work and make things happen.

Are we ever going to get every stinking illegal immigrant out of the country?  Hell no, cause the wimps on the left won't have it.  So here comes someone who is willing to put his reputation on the line to get something done and maybe at least get them registered so we know who is here.  Kick out the criminal offenders(I agree by definition that you are automatically a criminal the moment you step in this country illegally), like the ones that have killed so many people drunk driving lately.

He wants to close Gitmo.  For good reason, then the Micheal Moores of this world don't have something to point at and say "look evil right wingers!"  He'll prob just move it somewhere else.

Campaign finance:  It needs to be overhauled.  He tried to do it.  What you saw in the bill was a series of compromises.  Not everyone can agree on every tidbit detail.  He probably dinn't like  every word in the bill but it was change at least, a step in the right direction.

Yeah RIGHT.

McCain has a C+ rating from the NRA and an F from GOA. He is trying to eliminate private sales, muzzled the NRA, GOA etc with the McCain Fiengold act,

McCain is just as anti-gun as Mitt and Rudy. Don't take my word for it

He IS a genuine war hero but he is not a friend of conservatives or gun owners.

Huck and Paul are the only ones in the race who are pro-gun. A RINO will have more republican support to enact more gun control, than would a democrat.

Either way we are fucked this cycle. We get a democrat or a wanna-be democrat. A republican might be kind enough to use some lube but either way we are getting ass fucked on this election.

McCain certainly tries to get things done. He has taken the democrat play book and is trying to enact their agenda. The ONLY thing he is good on is his stance on the war. That is IT. He is the polar opposite of Paul who's only bad thing is his stance on the war.

We would be better off with Hillary than McCain. (At least most of the GOP will fight her just because) The only saving grace of a McCain ticket would be if Fred is on it as VP and then hope McCain croaks the day after inaguration. I would ONLY vote for McCain if Fred was on his ticket. Other than that I'll probably vote for my wifes dog, and only really bothering to show up to vote for congress.

I like Paul except for his war stance but was probably going to vote for Fred until he bowed out.

not to offend anyone, but........
The term Hero is now used very loosely.
Does being a P.O.W make you a hero?Did
he become a p.o.w by choice  to keep someone else
from being captured? Does being blown up by your own
shipmates missile on an aircraft carrier make you a hero?
How? Did he get up and save another from the fire?
or man the fire hoses?I always thought being a hero was to go out
on your own, out of your way, ignoring the
chance of bodily harm to ones self to help
others in peril.
So how does this qualify him to run the country?
His commercials are showing a P.O.W. or a gurney
with a wounded soldier from a flaming USS Forestall.
Honestly I have the utmost respect for this man
but I can not see how this has shit to do with the
elect ability of McCain, Sorry please don't rag on me
just courious
