I went through here last night at about 8:45!!! There was still a sheriffs car stuck on the median between the east and west lanes on the bridge!!!! If I had gotten off a little earlier, I would have been right in the middle of it!!!!  The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is investigating a series of events that began Monday with a deputy involved shooting and ended with a low-speed chase and a suspect's death. It is the second time a suspect has died after being shot with a taser by sheriff's deputies in the last four days. Robert Alen Keske, a 45-year-man from Lutz, became unresponsive while deputies took him into custody and later died at St. Petersburg General Hospital. According to authorities, a deputy doing an investigation on an unrelated case around 8:30 p.m. Monday near an Indian Rocks bridge noticed a man in a Dodge truck parked underneath the bridge acting suspiciously. The deputy then called for additional units. After backup arrived, several deputies approached the truck. Authorities said the man inside the truck put the car in drive, rammed two cruisers and sped away. Deputies fired at the vehicle but the driver managed to pull off and head east on Walsingham Road. The deputies followed the truck until it pulled into a neighborhood and off the road on 137th Street in Seminole. Witnesses said the man ignored deputies' orders to exit the truck. That led to deputies breaking the car window with batons, firing a taser at the driver and eventually pulling that man out of the truck, authorities said. Robert Keske died later at a St. Petersburg hospital. The man, which officials later identified as Keske, continued to resist the deputies, they said before he was handcuffed. In a separate incident on Saturday, a man died in custody after being shot with a taser by deputies after resisting arrest.
