So, I didn't bother posting over Christmas Exodus. I was, shall we say, a bit drunk. But I'm currently 8 weeks into my Infantry OSUT at Fort Benning. D-Co / 2-58 for those in the know. So called "House of Pain". I promised updates, but I didn't figure it'd take me this long to do it.

Dunno if I'll be able to get much more in the way of updates in. We're on a pretty unprecendented Sand Hill pass, and it takes for bloody ever to get a computer at the PX. I may try again, if we get another pass.

I wanted to at least stop by, and let people know I'm alive. I'm missing the FDCC shoots. Up to this point, I've been less than impressed by my Army shooting experiences. Waiting 4 hours to fire 6 rounds isn't my idea of a fun time shooting. Although we are about to go into team-fire and urban ops, so hopefully I'll start enjoying the shoots.

Well, that's about it for now. Pass is just about over, and I've got first fire guard tonight.

If anyone feels like dropping me a line, my address is:

PFC Brainerd, Benjamin A R#409
D-Co / 2-58 INF
9375 Conway Dr
Fort Benning, GA 31905

I feel pretty safe posting that, since they won't deliver any junk mail that it might aquire. But anyways, mail call's been a little sparse, and even if I don't know ya, I'll appreciate anything. I know Slug-O still owes me those pictures from when he drove the Hooters Girls.

Only met him once, at my first FDCC shoot at the Bradford range..... the infamous "Botter Shoot"

Yep. That'd be me. Alas, I don't have any recent shooting pics (Drills kinda from on cameras. Last one they found went into the woodline in about 50 pieces. Which we then had to police up.), but my form has improved, although I miss my Oakleys. Kinda bright out here some days.

EDIT: Wait. I wasn't wearing my Oakleys in that pic. Forgot it was kinda dull and grey that day. There's attention to detail right there.
