well guys i broke down and put some money down on an old broomhandle c96 mauser...It looks beautiful and a bit dirty but not worn out or refinished. I believe its a good deal...sharp rifling...matching numbers etc. I believe it was made around 1915. I would put it at about 90% bluing and in ecvellent condition. any thoughts on value??

sluggo any comments??

Well it took me about 30 posts before I got that!

But in his defense... I don't think he has a camera. I'll try to swing by & snap some pics to post for him.

<Hannover Fist> ...hangin's too good for 'em... burnin's too good for 'em... he should be torn into bitsy pieces and burried alive!!!<Hannover Fist>

<Hannover Fist>thats ok buddy...I got an angle....

Sorry for no pictures I had to trade my camera, diveriters broke down old dog and 3 ex girlfirends in just to put a deposit on the Mauser....But I promise to put up pictures of before and after as well as video of me executing a watermelon at point blank range....And I found modern made ammo specifically for it....groan just what I need another caliber in my collection.  Rmember the good old days when all you needed was a handful of bb's  and Daisy Red Ryder///sigh.....

My next old german gun will be a Krupp's 8.8cm long barreled cannon mounted in a PzrKmpz vi Koening
