![]() Did it come with a manual? If not, get one. The selector MUST be in the semi position when the trigger pack is removed from the receiver or damage could occur to the selector mechanism, same with reassembly, and even then it can be a bit tricky. just thought I'd pass that along |

thanks all. I've been jonesing for a F/A since I got out of the military, and I figured I'd get at least one before the prices go any higher. The process to get it was simple...just takes patience. It just came in to the SOT on a F3, and I'll be filling out the F4 paperwork shortly. My last two F4s were approved in about three weeks from the time I mailed them, so the wait shouldn't be too bad. BTW, the SOT who's transferring for me is ARFCOM member SKSeven, and he's been great to deal with so far. |
whatcha gonna get? I don't think my F4 will be back by the Eagle Tactics Handgun course, but I'll have my suppressor & M203 by then & will bring them out edit...SEE it in action??? You're gonna do a mag dump with it!! I owe Tom a turn on the bitch too, but he already has an AC556. |
it didn't have a manual, but I called Ruger today with the s/n and they're sending one to me. |
my first 5.56 was a mini-14, and I loved it. not the MOST accurate, but definitely accurate enough, and is just a beatifully crafted piece of machinery. They way the mechanism works, the overall solid feel of the gun, and that divine marriage of blued steel and polished hardwood, is simply artistic to me. The AR is a far more versatile platform, but IMO the AC556 is built stronger, with a much cleaner gas system. I love my ARs, and will have an M16 at some point if funds allow, but to have a quality 5.56 FA in such a small package, with outstanding support from Ruger (on unmodified guns only), I'm 100% happy with my purchase (and I haven't even fired it yet). I was debating getting an Uzi or this, and the punch of the 5.56 cartridge won out over the subgun. |
nice wood, Osprey... |
of fucking definatly, that or an UZI? if you have the two an uze shouldn't be considered. Let me know how the magazine thing works out for you. I have some trouble allocating ruger factory 20rd mags, and have had horrible luck with the aftermarket ones. |
Please rephrase that.... please!!

Joey, I got a couple factory Ruger 20s from 44mag.com for about $30 each. About the best price I've seen for factory mags (some fukstains are asking twice that), and the mags are NIB. I also got several John Masen 30 rounders from CDNN for about $12 each, and they look like very well-built mags, and seem to have a very good reputation for reliability. |
p0rn.

Nice piece of hardware.
