Does anyone know of a good reliable gun smith in the Tampa / St Pete area?  I need some work on my AR and I am not set up for it.

Thanks

What kind of work do you need done? There are several decent smiths in the area.

Barrel removal and reinstall.

I bought a free-float handguard.  I made an attempt to install this weekend but I do not have a shop (or garage for that matter).  I set up a clamp-on vise on my bar and attempeted to remove the barrel with an AR barrel tool.  The barrel nut did not move.

Thanks

If you have a vice, a reciever block and a barrel wrench, I am surprised you arent able to get it yourself. Sometimes the barrel nuts are tight, but most times they come off pretty easy. You were able to remove the gas tube and punch the front sight taper pins out?

I sent you a IM. Give me a call I'll help you swap the barrel in and out.
