HP Pavilion 9795c computer, MX75 monitor, Deskjet 932c printer. Pentium 4, 1.4 GHz, and an important difference from most out there, it has the Rambus memory bus, meaning it's a 300 to 600 MHz bus instead of the usual 133, which is where the bottleneck usually is. It came originally with 128Meg, but I have installed 512 of 400MHz Rambus (I'll give you the 128Meg as well, but for some reason it doesn't work with the 512. I really don't have the time or, honestly, the knowledge to troubleshoot that a lot. The computer is supposed to be able to accommodate one gig. The memory outfit says call them and we can go through things, but I really can't spend the time. The frustrating thing is that I know the 128 works, because I tried that alone again. Anyway, those of you who know more can fiddle with it and have 640 meg when you're done or, stay with the 512 meg and sell the 128. It also has a video capture card, as well as the usual NVIDIA display driver, 56k modem. CDROM drive plus combination drive - dvd reader/cd writer.
Some of the current crop may have higher clock speeds, but they do not have the fast memory bus, so that's something to keep in mind. I don't want to ship it - just too much hassle with safe packing, and UPS won't insure electronics unless they are in the original box. So, if you are within a hundred miles or so from Tampa, I'll deliver.
I got maybe $2000. in this; yes, I know how prices drop. So, it's up for a fair and decent offer. I will consider trades of firearms such as HK91, M1A ( a Scout or similar variation, as I have a full size already) or Smith 945 micro or mid. or, possibly some of the small frame .357's Obviously, in some cases I'll have to add some cash and am prepared to do so. Yet another argument in favor of a local sale. And, there will be some interesting and useful extras added for a buyer who doesn't give me too hard a time.
Adding: if you are interested in a trade and are in states along the southern route from FL to CA, I will be making a trip by car in January. I could then actually deliver the computer personally, making this more flexible. Any legalities would be simple - you could send whatever to a local FFL, at my expense. Alternatively, if you are in TX, and I am lucky, and the wife cooperative, you could hold the trade for me as I might be a TX resident in a few months.
