Sorry to see you are unhappy, and even more surprised to see someone with so many posts and positive feedback of your own, would be unable to extend common courtesy to a fellow enthusiast. By that I mean you publicly attack me and presume wisdom in this situation. I will state for the record that A) the upper is new. B) The powder residue is the result of test firing only, after assembly (I myself like to see that, that way I know it is working). C) The Carrier is new. D) You did not purchase this upper from Olympic arms but from a fellow AR15COM member, who sold it allot cheaper than Olympic. I suppose if you want new, never handled factory box etc, that’s where you need to go
There may very well be some scuffs in the finish, it had been to a gun show both on the table and walked around. I tried to show the upper in pictures, I doubt very much it was marked up like you say since this one I almost used for a project of my own. I know the minute I take it to the range or do any “run and gun “ stuff it will get more marks than it ever had when new. If the gas block was gouged I did not see that myself and apologize for any inconvenience. There is a product made by the Gun Blue people that re-blacks aluminum really nice, and before you ask, no I don’t have any or did I use any on your upper.
If it makes any difference to you the other uppers I have sold here got great feedback both on here and in emails to me directly, I sold this upper at a loss to get some cash flow and now it becomes the item of a public attack on my person and my ethics. You demand a full refund and shipping back, I shipped to you NO Charge, further costing me. At what value is my reputation, which you publicly smeared here? Do I owe you anything?
