My local dealer here in KY just handed me one to look at. $2999.99 was the price on it. Said he has been trying to get this gun in for over a year. It's available but I wanted to do my research before plunking $3K on a semi auto pistol.

Not sure this is the proper thread but am curious about these prices.
Currently $1,700 seems to be the price for the PTR and other SP5 clones and $3K for the HK. Based on discussions, the HK seems to be an inflated price and expected to drop a bit once more come in. With that in mind, what would you expect to be a more reasonable price for the HK? What about the PTR? Is that pretty much the standard price for that item? |

Also wanted to ask is it customary to tip the employee that called me to let me know they got them. I feel I owe him big time |
