Looking at the PTR and Omega clone offerings. Do they run steel cased ammo reliably? I usually like shooting brass cased ammo and keeping the brass for reloading, but it seems the roller locks blast the spent casings far away and some local ranges don't allow for retrieval down range.

I can tell you that my Zenith MKE Z5P runs 115gr Brown Bear 9mm just fine.

all my hks get steel, some of them only steel

I recently picked up a used PTR 91 and ran 200 rounds of TulAmmo(which is usually pretty weak in relative terms) through it with no issues.

FWIW; here's what HK had to say about steel cased ammunition:

"Cartridge case obturation, the greatest uncertainty factor in every automatic weapon, is reduced so much by the introduction and further development of the fluted chamber and has become uniform for all types of cartridge cases, including lacquered steel cases, that operation is reliable in every situation, even under the most adverse firing conditions.

We run WOLF steel case ammo trough our full auto Omega 9 mm all the time.

Perfect! Now if you guys had some sort of MAD MAX bolt combination for an extra $150 instead of the RCM bolt with your Omega MP5s...

I wish there were some steel cased 147 gr out there. I have a Wolf 9-SD in jail and I can't see myself shooting supersonics out of it.

I will say it needs a sd locking piece to make it run, and curved mags and a clean gun.

It is very weak

Does the Blazer play well with the fluted chamber? I thought I had read that it tended to cause malfs.
