The cocking handle is easy to manipulate with the right (off) hand and the paddle mag release is ambidextrous. An extended right side selector would be nice for my DJ Getz clone though. |

I'm a lefty and if you have the ambi safety you're good to go. Never had any problem with the cocking handle or mag release. |

Quoted:I'm asking about possible ejection issues(forehead), not the ergonomics. I haven't had that problem with my MP5 clone and didn't with the MP5K I shot on auto at the KCR MG shoot. In my (hardly expansive) experience, it's just the righty bullpups that will get you in the face really good and for obvious reasons |

Is there an issue firing an MP5 style rifle as a lefty? I have no problem with a PTR or C93, but have never shouldered an MP5 as a lefty(only once as a righty). I'm asking about possible ejection issues(forehead), not the ergonomics. No issues here. I have had a HK94 for over 10 years and an SP89 clone for about 7 years. No brass to the face or anything like that. THe only part that can be unpleasant is the gas in the face but, I have learned to overlook that. |
| RTG parts has the late issue case deflector for the 91, it might be able to be retro fitted to work for the MP5. I have one on my HK kit build I am just finishing up. Some fitting required. Welded on so it stays were it is. Even came with an HK tag and part number. |

The price would be minimal. |
