Is your gun a factory HK, or a clone?
I've heard of the MKE's not going into clones, but I don't think I've read about that problem with factory HKs.

And as far as your question, I don't think I've seen them cheap for a while now.
You might look at the promag plastic ones.
Yeah, I know, promag, but I've got a couple, and they seem to be OK.
They went into all mine without any issues or mods needed.
Call them range mags though.

Christ - Yea its a Clone but it came in as a pistol . It was a Malaysian gun and has mostly HK parts (lucky me) . A armorer friend of mine said the German mag catches on the inside are a bit sharper of a angle and can feed most mags but the ones that century drops in are smooth on the surface. This can be dremiled.. Personally id rather have a gun that would eat all mags than the mags being custom fitted to the weapon rather.

I could just but a new german mag catch tab . It sucks because once i get my stamp back i was gonna run some 3 gun with it

I can't seem to find any 40 rounders either. I'm glad I picked up 6 or 7 when I had the chance and at a good price. HKSpecialist, CTD, and HK Parts have 30 rounders but they are still expensive ~$80 per. Have you tried any of the Promag stuff? Their reputation sucks but they might work. Let me know if you want to sell those MKE 30 rounders.

Edit: Just found some at Apex Gun Parts: $69.95

Check to make sure that the edges on the magwell are not rough/too long.

The magwells on the two C93's that i have, where too long and too rough. The edges of the magwel  where interfering with the magazine over insertion"stops"  I carefully filed off the rough edges. The magazine catch works better and engages the mags better.

Promag 20rd: $9.24

Promag 30rd: $10.24

They lockup and drop-free in my C93, worth a shot, no?

When you look at each of these magazines individually on this website, they say "sold out---no eta available".  Sorry.

Edited to add:  Midway has them in stock for a bit more.

We all know promag is junk, but I took the gamble and bought three 30 rounders from Midway.  All three fit and function perfectly in my weapon.  David

If Magpul made some, they would sell faster than Kanye running at a Klan Rally....

CDNN has the Pro Mag 40's  for (I think) a good price.
