Buddy of mine is offering to sell me his Bobcat SW89 (lightly used) for $700. I haven't seen one in a while, but I think it's a steal, and I know in the very few times he's fired it, he's had no issues. I come from the mentality that I like to upgrade things, so if I bought it, I'd probably want to "HK" it up with some genuine parts... First off, good deal? ...and second of all, what is worth spending the money on for upgrades? I know the extractor has been known in these things to be problematic, and I'd like to get a new trigger housing (Pictogram style) What should I know? |

I got one direct from BW and it only needed the extractor spring.
I think it is a great price, i would jump on it. As for upgrades since mine has shot perfectly since the springing was replaced, i would say it does not need any upgrades. Anything you want to do will be purely cosmetic and of your choosing. I plan on sbr'ing it at some point and putting an a3 stock on it. |

I'll probably just replace the extractor / spring and the trigger housing (just for the aesthetics) and go from there. Unfortunately, although we can own suppressors, full autos and so forth, Michigan is not yet on board with SBR's, so we will see if that changes. It's the one reason I got rid of my PS90... I wanted to short barrel it. |

If you have a single sided selector, you can not get a housing designed for a double sided selector. Good luck and you will have to post some pics of your new gun if you get it. |
