Just looking for some discussion.
I layawayed one not long ago. Selling points for me were the 16 inch barrel and the welded scope mount. Dont know if I'll scope it, but but I wanted the option, and didn't like the claw mount idea. I think I'll swap out the railed testical forend for the HK wide. Anyone got one? |

Will do.....still a few months out though. Probably need the full 90 days on this one, they aint cheap.
I actually posted because of a lack of talk about this model, I've found a bit, but not much. This will be the first HK in my collection, even if it is a clone. I've wanted one since I was 7 years old, and I saw one on the cover of the 1982 Shooters Bible. I thought it was the coolest thing. I don't really know a thing about them yet. Looking forward to learning something thats not an AR. I read somewhere that I'd need a 93 forend, but wasn't positive. Are there other 93 parts on it as well? |
| I don't think so the only reason you would need a 93 fore end is because the sc has a shorter barrel and the front sight / forearm mounting thing is closer in so if you say took one of the forearms for my ptr91 GI and tried to slap it on the front hole would be past were you put the pin that holds it in place. I'm pretty sure you'll love it I know I love my GI, and parts and mags are so cheap you can get all sorts of stuff for em. |

I don't have the SC model but have the KF model and yes you will need the 93 handgaurd also your going to need to open up the front of the handgaurd a little to fit the heavy barrel. Heres a link to HKPRO for any more questions you may have.

| I bought my SC about a year ago. I'm extreamly happy with it. I wasn't thrilled about all the rails on the hand gaurd, but I ended up just putting rail covers on and living with it, has worked out fine. Still thinking about a scope for it. Kinda leaning toward a 1-4x maybe a vortex pst |

Thats what I was thinking. 1-4x, maybe 2-7x in some kind of a QD mount, Warne or Larue.
I ordered some new aluminum, and some used steel mags for it. Probably get another round of the same thing while they're cheap. Is there anything else i shoukd get? Tools? Common spare parts? |
