What is the deal with these? Ive seen them mentioned here an there in posts, but never heard the pros or cons over the folded sheet metal ones. Receivers were made in cast aluminum and cast stainless steel. The cast aluminum ones have the rep of being worthless, just waiting to come apart. The cast stainless receivers are very rigid and built like a tank. Some feel that the cast stainless receivers have the potential for increased accuracy due to the rigidity of the receiver. |

Do you mean cast stainless receiver?
You can get them to work with a little more elbow grease. I used one in a build....Biggest problem was welding steel to stainless...it takes a little more finesse. The buttstock didn't fit right either and I had to remove a little metal off the the receiver to get the pin holes to line up. All in all it works...a bit heavy, but it works. Oh yeah...finding a good finish that won't scratch off easy is difficult being that it is stainless. |

Sorry, might even be a decent gun but having the "cast iron" which is wrong, constantly being repeated makes me think the seller doesn't know much about what he's selling. I especially like the "sear host" as a selling point, as if finding a host is "rare". However, if the price is right and you got the cash... |
