I have a Surefire 628 (MP5 weapons light forearm). It's the original version with only a momentary on switch. I think I'd like to replace the switch with a dual switch (momentary on AND contant on push button).
1. Is it possible? 2. What switch would I need to buy? 3. How hard would it be? 4. What problems would be anticipated with doing this? Thanks guys! |

It soulds like it would be easier to do a housing swap, or a new housing/light assembly all together. The on/off switch is on the left side while the momentary is on the right. I guess you could buy the switch and install it but IDK.. When you saying housing swap, are you referring to the forearm or the flashlight body? http://www.surefire.com/LED-Momentary-Constant-On-Switching-628LF Thanks |

ya, I think that's the only way to do it.
You would have to buy the whole forearm from surefire. They dont sell the forearm with switches itself without the LED head. I don't want to spend $450 though. Gag. Sometimes HKparts might have dept trade in's, might not be too often with that style but it's worth a call, LSC gets tons of trade in's also, but dont list parts on the site so you have to call. I run the 628L(LED) and really like it, granted it's on momentary but it's significantly cheaper. HKPro has an EE of only used HK parts also. |
