I have a Surefire 628 (MP5 weapons light forearm). It's the original version with only a momentary on switch. I think I'd like to replace the switch with a dual switch (momentary on AND contant on push button).

1. Is it possible?
2. What switch would I need to buy?
3. How hard would it be?
4. What problems would be anticipated with doing this?

Thanks guys!

It soulds like it would be easier to do a housing swap, or a new housing/light assembly all together.  The on/off switch is on the left side while the momentary is on the right.  I guess you could buy the switch and install it but IDK..

When you saying housing swap, are you referring to the forearm or the flashlight body?

You would have to buy the whole forearm from surefire. They dont sell the forearm with switches itself without the LED head.

ya, I think that's the only way to do it.

I don't want to spend $450 though.  Gag.

Sometimes HKparts might have dept trade in's, might not be too often with that style but it's worth a call, LSC gets tons of trade in's also, but dont list parts on the site so you have to call.

I run the 628L(LED) and really like it, granted it's on momentary but it's significantly cheaper. HKPro has an EE of only used HK parts also.
