could i buy that .22 version the 416, and put in a 5.56 barrel and BCG?

Nope. The Umarex rifles are built like toys, with zinc pot metal parts. The "416" .22lr simply looks like the HK 416.

Nope. Not a chance. Its not even close to the same thing. A .22lr frame is not built to a 5.56 gas piston specs. Let alone you can't just put a bolt and BCG in it. You would need the full upper, and the gas piston that goes with it, before you could ever think about shooting 5.56 out of it. And the upper is the big bucks item.

hk makes a civilian version of the 416 dont they? ive only seen the .22 version

What parts do you think you would be able to replace? The "HK" .22 isn't made by HK. You do understand that, correct? Its made by umarex.

It's actually made by Walther.  Umarex is merely the importer.
