can any one tell me the diff in the hk lowers? i have a 91 and was looking at an mp5 and the lowers look the same. is it just diff hammers and spring and ejectors and such that are diff?
im only asking because (and im pipe dreaming i know) someday if i ever can afford a registered sear pack, can i only use it in the same caliber guns or all across the board? if this is a noob hk question im sorry. |

MP5k/SP89 lowers only fit those guns. MP5 lowers will fit the G3/91 and the 33/53/93 series. (hammers,springs and ejectors are interchangeable) HK33//53/93 lowers will fit the G3/91. (hammers,springs and ejectors are interchangeable) G3/91 lowers fit the G3/91 but can be made to fit HK33//53/93 guns by shortening the rear 'tang'. |

There are some differences in the lowers but I believe it is possible to have 1 HK FCG with a registared sear and switch it between all calbers with only an ejector change. Go over to HK pro you can find all the details there, but I know that the ability to switch registared packs from one gun to another is one of the things that makes HKs so popular.

thanks for the answers guys. i stumbled accros that site (hk pro) but i dont really feel like joining another forum. so im glad i got my answers here.
one of the extra lowers that came with my 91 has a tang w/ only one hole, that must be why. even though i dont plan on joining that site i will at least read the provided links, so i thank you. thanks leon |
