I am looking to purchase an MP5 clone, but I don't know which one to buy! I am going to sbr whatever I buy,or if I can purchase one factory sbr'd. Or should I bite the bullet, sell my plasma for a couple years and buy the hk 94? Any adviced would be greatly appreciated

Special Weapons, Bobcat, and Coharie are the well known clones of the past.  MKE is imported from Turkey, built on H&K equipment.

All of the above have been known to have issues of one type or another.  They are usually straightened out by using actual H&K parts.  Clones are hit or miss.

Another option is to have one built.  There are a few custom builders that build from flats from the ground up.  They are more expensive but they will retain their value unlike the clones (assuming you buy from one of the well known makers).  Check out Dakota Tactical, who hangs out on HKPro.com, and ghilliebear, also a HKPro fountain of knowledge.

Don't forget Vector as well. Best idea is to what was said above. Get on the hkpro forum, contact ghilliebear, chopstixkid, or tbostic for their advice. They are probably the most well known respected builders there.
