So my next project is strongly leaning in the direction of a HK 53, or a clone, anyone know a good site for parts or possibly some more info on them

Thanks

check out hkpro.com forums

In terms of doing a 53, you can either get a Vector 53 pistol and register it as a short barreled rifle (if your state allows it). Otherwise you can get a de-milled parts kit of a HK53, and get a flat and send it to be built. There are many reputable builders out there (RDTS, Turner Fab, Prusik USA etc)

Either way its going to be expensive. A vector V53 is around 1300-1500$ + 200 stamp (again if your state allows it) and 75-400 for a stock depending on what kind you opt for. A demilled HK-53 parts kit is around 1600-2000 + flat + assembly. So prepare your wallet
