| Anyone talk to Robert at RTG this past week or 2? He responded to my emails about an order but I have not been able to get a reply from him in 2 weeks? Thanks! |

I've bought from Robert 5 times in the last year- even during the stupidity and price gouging I never had one issue. From what I understand it is a "mom and pop" shop and yea, maybe customer service is a little slower than some places but I have never had any issues with anything that I have ordered from them.
Just last week I got in 104 "slightly rusty" HK steel mags- shipped to my door they were $200. That's less than $2 apiece! Not one of them was unserviceable and only one had any real pits in it. The rest wiped off with a paper towel and some CLP. You cannot beat that deal ANYWHERE. They have the absolute best prices on just about everything that you would want in HK parts. They are good folks. Maybe "responding many times" to people is part of the problem......I don't bother people unless there REALLY is an issue with something. There are forums for information etc, there are very few reasons to contact sellers in my opinion.....I always get a kick out of guys that pester the hell out of dealers or gunsmiths and then wonder why it takes so long to get something- multiply your calls times 10 for every other person that "has a question" and pretty soon the guy is spending half his day on the phone instead of in the shop.... Sorry that you had a problem but I don't think it's indicative of their general business practices. You can always open a dispute with your CC company and if it's less than 60 days they will credit your account. It really isn't THAT big of a deal. Takes 15 minutes on the phone....... |
| I've done lot's of business with Robert @ RTG over the last 5 years and he's always been a pleasure to deal with. He's helped me with many HK projects and went the extra mile to find parts I've needed. I've returned parts several times and never had a problem getting a refund. I bet there is a simple misunderstanding, and your problem certainly isn't typical of his business practices. Try calling again. |
| Same here as I indicated above. Everybody has a bad one now and then, shit happens. Sorry it happened to you but it is not indicative of his usual performance as evidenced by several people on this thread alone. Your CC company will give a complete refund in the end so not really the end of the world even if you never hear from him. |

Robert and his family have been very helpful over the years. I'm pretty sure this will get resolved, unfortunate due to the SAR show and December holiday schedules they are most likely falling behind in some categories.
RTG is good to go in my book and I'm pretty sure they will make this right. |

Yes. I had to do a dispute about two months ago against Tactical Gun Armory. They billed me and three weeks later still had not shipped. When I Googled the company I found out that they do that shit all the time and basically live off of peoples funds and never ship anything. Hundreds of complaints with their local Better Business Bureau- live and learn!
All I had to do was call my credit card company, tell them I had never received the merchandise and my next statement had a full credit on it. Never even filled out any kind of form or anything. Took about 15 minutes. Good luck. |

Why don't you post this on HKPRO - Robert will likely to see it there. Never been there. I'll look in to it but I probably wont repost there as I don't want to start another "smear" thread. I started this thread originally to find out if anyone else was able to contact RTG as I could not. Never dealing with them before I did not know if this was typical service or not. It seems that this is not typical so I'll let my credit card company deal with it and let it die here. |

Why don't you post this on HKPRO - Robert will likely to see it there. Not likely. I just ordered a few items for my HK93 and one of the items was not as advertised. I sent him a few emails and called, nothing. I posted on HKPro and still nothing. After two weeks I got a reply email saying "Sorry, that's all I had left". I won't be ordering from him again. HKParts.net is slightly more expensive but you get AMAZING customer service with it. Every time I've sent Adam an email or called it's been returned within the day and he ships scary fast. ETA: HKSpecialist is really good too (great prices). http://www.hkspecialiststore.com/ |

The guy has a lot of nerve. Beating out everyone on good customer service, fast shipping, and bull pricing. Good god..what is wrong with RTG My personal favorite was at the SAR show 2007, I bought from him for 74 bucks what was supposed to be 100 mags in it, g-3 alum alloy mags. Guess what... there was 117 in the box The nerves of this guy..the absolute nerves of him Seriously....in the end, you can't go wrong with him....been ordering stuff for the last 5 years with no issues..... Shit....TSA took my blank firing device.....in Phoenix......says it is a firearm and they need it in a firearms case. RTG sent me another one in the mail with no issues. THe nerves...of this guy...man..seriously......

See below - This may be the issue with both the responsiveness and website, taken from website just now. RTG provides great products, great prices and exceptional service. - Dave
Mission Complete! The website and secure shopping cart are back to working perfectly. I apologize to anyone who had a difficulty the last couple days. Just before Christmas we had server issues and it was bad enough to force a move to a new server. Everything is back to running smoothly. Thank you all for your patience. Thanks again and happy shooting. Robert |
