| For LEO, where can you fellas direct me for a good price on an MP5. My dept is willing to buy I just need some info to shop around. Thanks in advance |
|
For a new civi MP5 SBR check out Iron Ridge Arms.
I'm sure your dept. can get a deal on surplused or fed subsidized MP5's from other sources. |
|
You can check www.sturmgewehr.com for some. It is a classifieds site for guns. They have an NFA section were you can get mp5's, just keep in mind most of the ones there are fully transferable to civilians hence the $15,000 price tag.
I am not sure what config you are looking for but here are a few ads I found: MP5a2 safe/semi/2rd burst MP5 Safe/Semi/Full Auto |
| Why in the world are you guys telling the OP where a civilian could buy a MP5 or clone? He is clearly going to get the department to buy the real deal from HK or alternative distributor. If I were an LEO and my department was going to buy the real thing, I'd never worry about sturm or any of the other places that us civilians need to use. |
|
You're not going to want a transferable for a Dept... Take a look at Policeguns.com and check out the POST SAMPLE section. 1,200 for a used MP5 is normal, and 1,600 for NEW MP5 A3 are common. A few years ago they were 999 used and 1,200 new. I'm not sure of current HK Factory Prices, but I know that many places such as Policeguns can order direct for you. (and ship directly to the dept you want) |

Sturm also has Post Samples for LE/Govt. use posted on there site. Those post samples are what I linked to. A department would have to be crazy to spend $15,000 in an MP5. I was telling the OP about the large price so it would aide in cutting down on the search time. If the price was over a few thousand then the ad should get skipped. |

Well now that you explain it and I go back to read your previous post... it all makes more sense now. But I like this further explanation for the purposes/needs of the original poster. Thanks. |
