I need some help here and didnt have any hits over at HK pro yet.   I think i have an issue with my MP5 clone trunion and want a second opinion.  Would some of you post a picture of your trunion through the magazine well?  The issue im having is the magazines are being damaged by both the trunion and the bolt.  That makes me think my trunion was milled too much but i want something to compare it to.  The magazine stop with the angles cuts is where i think the problem is.

Also if any of you have any ideas on how to fix it or other causes please feel free to share them.

Here is the bottom of my trunion:

And this is whats its doing to my mags (They look worse now.  This is an older picture):

Thanks for any help.

I'd pull the bolt and take a pic of the front lower edge.

This is an older picture of the bolt but shows where any rubbing could be since its dirty.

Now the bolt has been polished on the two sides where you see some marks and the bottom has also been polished and a VERY little bit of material was removed to help the follower issue.  I really think the trunion is the problem since the flats on the magazines for the stop are being all cut up.

Well, number one, those aren't HK mags, so it's hard to tell.  I wouldn't say they are very beat up, since there is only wear on the surfaces where there should be.  Seeing that the feed lips are intact, and that there aren't any visible signs of wear on the face of the bolt, I would gander to say it's the mags.

Actually 2 of the 3 mags are real HK.  I only have one magazine that is a Coharie.  But with that said they do look  worse now.  So its normal for them to wear on the stops?  The used MP5 mags ive bought look brand new compared to mine after a couple range trips.

Are you anywhere near Charleston? If so I have various mags and trigger packs/housings you could try.

The three mags shown in the picture have the mag retaining "lug" stamped into the front of the mag.  The real HK mags have a small piece of metal as the "lug" spot-welded into place.  Just an observation.  As long as the mag is rock solid in the well, and the feed lips and follower aren't being damaged, you should be fine.

Well looks like i got screwed on a couple mags for not learning more about them.

Thanks for the offer on the lowers and magazines but i really think its a trunion issue since even though my mags arnt HK (thanks for pointiong out the difference for future referance) they arnt the problem.  Id feel bad damaging your mags if that was the case too.

Could any of you post a picture of your trunion through the magwell to compare them?

Thanks for the help.
